Methodology: Each score synthesizes audience discourse, critic and aggregator reception, and press coverage — weighed against the work itself, not any single source.
Developer interviews and marketing focus exclusively on narrative choice, day/night gameplay, and vampire lore, with no emphasis on inclusion mandates, ESG initiatives, or progressive credentials.

The Blood of Dawnwalker isn’t even that woke, but this scene is painfully forced. The protagonist basically turns gay for five minutes because the script needs it, and the NPC doesn’t fit the gay role at all.Nothing about his characterization, personality, or role even reads as gay — it feels like the writers were forced to check a box and shove it in anyway. Hard to even blame the developers — this whole scene feels like something they were pressured to shove in just to satisfy DEI and political-correctness expectations.
Not super bad, but there is lgbtq romance options. but rlly when you think about it, youre never fighting females or anything and lacra and anca are not girl bosses.
The gay romance is the only woke thing , but without it , it would have been better
I honestly don’t see why the homosexuality and political and identity issues depicted here would seem out of place in the historical setting. The diversity portrayed could even be considered accurate for the supposed location. The valley itself may be fictional, but given the Carpathian Mountains, it’s clear what it’s meant to evoke, and therefore the use of Slavic, Romanian, and Hungarian folklore isn’t forced diversity, but a legitimate historical element. The fact that a Tatar village also appears in the game is yet another nice touch, alluding to the temporal proximity of the Mongol invasion.
It provides story over lecturing. It provides freedom of choice of forced compliance. The homosexual romance is completely optional & easily avoidable if you don't want to engage in that part of the stary.
