Progressive elements are minor and incidental rather than central: an ensemble includes a gay supporting character (Rob Corddry's Tom Ruffage), diverse character names like Anushka Bhattachera-Phister that fit the setting organically, and thematic overlap with critiques of corporate greed and tech dehumanization. These do not drive the narrative, involve identity politics, race/gender-swapping of established figures, explicit social justice lectures, or DEI mandates.

Creator intent focuses on humanizing flawed characters and satirizing tech excesses without activist framing. No significant audience backlash labeling it woke; reception treats it as standard prestige satire akin to Succession. The premise and appeal rest on character-driven absurdity and industry critique, not progressive ideology.
