The storytelling remains purely entertaining and traditional, with no progressive ideological intrusions like identity politics, systemic oppression narratives, or critiques of norms. Casting features mostly Norwegian children with minor organic diversity (e.g., names suggesting multicultural backgrounds like Ishaan or Iselin Shumba Skjævesland), but this feels incidental and reflective of contemporary Norway without clashing with the fantasy setting or driving the plot.

There are no lectures on gender roles, LGBTQ representation, DEI mandates, or social justice; girls lead adventures in a straightforward heroic manner common to kids' tales. No creator statements emphasize activism, and reception is overwhelmingly positive (IMDb 8.1), hailed as the best advent calendar for children with praise for emotional depth, imagination, and family appeal, free from any 'woke' backlash or controversy.
