The early seasons of this series are an absolute masterclass in character-driven comedy, balancing genuine heart, sharp wit, and a brilliant exploration of teenage relationships. The core cast has incredible chemistry, and the show originally excelled at being inclusive without feeling forced. However, the final seasons completely lose the plot, pivoting away from organic storytelling and devolving into pure, straight woke propaganda. Instead of focusing on the characters we grew to love, the narrative becomes bogged down by preachy, checklist-style social justice lecturing and forced agendas that alienate the audience. It still earns a high rating because the foundation was so remarkably strong, but the heavy-handed ideological shift at the end leaves a frustratingly preachy aftertaste.
