The storyline revolves around epic martial arts battles, dual protagonists Tian Ji and Di Ming confronting cosmic threats like invading gods (Tai Xi Shen Zhao), demons, entropy forces, and immortals in a vast mythological universe connecting past series mysteries. Characters are archetypal heroes, villains, and deities drawn from Chinese lore, with no race-swapping, gender changes to established figures, or forced diversity clashing with the setting.

Themes center on heroism, conspiracy, power struggles, and fantastical adventures without any modern progressive framing such as identity politics, systemic oppression, LGBTQ+ representation, feminism, or critiques of traditional norms. There are no creator statements on activism, no DEI mandates evident, and zero audience backlash labeling it 'woke'—reception from fans focuses purely on plot twists and puppetry spectacle. This season exemplifies neutral, entertainment-driven storytelling free from contemporary ideological intrusions, preserving the series' timeless appeal rooted in cultural traditions.
