Episode plots emphasize heists, alliances with Rafe, artifact decoding, and a hurricane climax, with no dialogue or arcs addressing identity politics, systemic oppression, or gender/sexuality themes. The class divide between Pogues and Kooks functions as the longstanding narrative engine for conflict and group dynamics, resolved through plot resolution rather than lectures. The series maintains organic casting of its original characters including Kiara, Pope, and Cleo without any source-material alterations or forced changes.

Class conflict and revenge plotlines remain framed strictly as elements of an adventure and friendship story rather than vehicles for activist messaging. Creator statements and focus stay fixed on treasure resolution, personal loss, and redemption arcs, showing zero documented intent around DEI initiatives or social justice themes, which keeps the season free of progressive ideological intrusions.
