Casting remains consistent with prior seasons: core team led by white males (Gibbs, McGee, DiNozzo), quirky white female Abby, older white Ducky, black authority figure Director Vance, and new white female analyst Ellie Bishop replacing Ziva David (noted by some fans as reducing ethnic diversity). No race/gender swaps, forced DEI, or clashes with established lore.

One noticeable progressive element is episode 13 'We Build, We Fight,' centering the murder of an openly gay Navy lieutenant poised to be the first such recipient of the Medal of Honor, implying institutional bias in military honors and drawing conservative backlash for pro-gay messaging. Other episodes touch lightly on veteran support fraud or female agency (Bishop in Afghanistan) but do not lecture or prioritize identity politics. No creator statements emphasizing activism, minimal audience complaints about wokeness (some critique lack of diversity), and no overwhelming social justice dominance.
