The season features the established core cast of Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman, and the build team (Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, Grant Imahara) with no alterations to characters, no identity-focused subplots, and no narrative framing around social justice, systemic oppression, or critiques of traditional norms. Episodes revolve exclusively around myth verification using physics, chemistry, and practical effects, without dialogue or themes addressing gender, race, sexuality, or contemporary activism.

Casting reflects the show's long-running format rather than any DEI mandate, and reception shows zero notable backlash or praise tied to ideological messaging. The program maintains a neutral, fact-driven approach typical of pre-2010s educational television, with no evidence of progressive ideological influence in premise, execution, or intent.
