The writers of House of the Dragon never miss an opportunity to dunk on the characters who believe in and defend patriarchy, organized religion or tradition. They bastardize the source material in order to shoehorn in their own world view. Beloved characters are warped to serve as a straw-man meant to depict negatively anybody who holds an opinion in contra to the writers own socio-political agenda, this has negatively impacted the writing of the series, particularly in the second season and is clearly woke.
