Social issues like domestic violence in 'Screams of Silence: The Story of Brenda Q' and family scapegoating of Meg in 'Seahorse Seashell Party' are addressed in very special episode style, but these are executed as heavy-handed, unfunny PSAs that drew backlash for insensitivity, misogyny, and poor victim portrayal rather than effective social justice messaging. Casting remains unchanged with the core white ensemble (Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Mila Kunis, Seth Green) and guest voices like Elliot Page in a non-trans role; no race/gender-swapping, forced diversity, or DEI emphasis.

Themes prioritize crude, offensive humor over activism, with no creator-stated intent for inclusion mandates or norm-challenging. Reception highlights quality decline and tastelessness, not woke backlash or 'go woke go broke' narrative.
