Its storytelling prioritizes hedonism, infidelity, writer's block, and screwball situations without any engagement in identity politics, systemic oppression narratives, or critiques of traditional norms. Casting follows the established ensemble of white leads and supporting players with no race- or gender-swapping of characters or DEI-driven additions.

Themes remain firmly in classic adult entertainment territory—sex, drugs, rock and roll, and personal failings—rather than activist framing. Contemporary viewer comments explicitly praise the season (and series) as one of the last major shows unconcerned with political correctness.

Any fleeting dialogue touching modern topics, such as sarcastic references to sex-positive feminism, serves as critique or humor rather than endorsement. The season's premise and appeal derive entirely from character-driven chaos and traditional narrative tropes, with zero evidence of progressive ideological influence in premise, execution, or reception.
