Former North Korean operative turned South Korean single dad Kim Do-hyeon (So Ji-sub) reactivates his black-ops skills when his teenage daughter Min-ji (Seo Su-min) goes missing, teaming with two fellow ex-agent fathers (Choi Dae-hoon and Yoon Kyung-ho) to battle criminals and intelligence agencies. The premise follows classic action-thriller conventions of paternal devotion and hidden pasts without any identity-politics framing, systemic-oppression narratives, or critiques of traditional norms. The all-Korean cast and North-South Korean spy backstory remain fully organic to the setting and source material, with no race or gender swaps, LGBTQ+ focal points, or DEI mandates present. No creator statements on activism appear, and the minor subtitle and studio controversies remain unrelated to progressive messaging, leaving the narrative centered on traditional single-father rescue themes.
