The plot revolves around separation due to continental drift, encounters with pirates and sea creatures, and reuniting the herd—pure entertainment storytelling with no critiques of traditional norms, systemic issues, or identity politics. Casting features a mix of voice actors including Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Keke Palmer, and Wanda Sykes in animal roles, but this reflects standard Hollywood celebrity voice choices for broad appeal rather than deliberate ideological diversity mandates or changes to established characters.

No evidence of LGBTQ+ representation, gender-swapping, DEI-driven elements, or creator statements pushing social justice messaging. Minor audience notes about side characters are speculative and irrelevant to the narrative. As a 2012 children's film, it avoids any progressive ideological embedding, prioritizing slapstick comedy and herd/family values instead.
