The premise centers on disgraced agent Lucas Reyes (Josh Hartnett) protecting hacker asset Isha Mandhal (Charithra Chandran) from international assassins, supported by ex Katee Sackhoff and a roster of killers including Marko Zaror and JuJu Chan. Casting reflects an international flight and mercenary world organically, with capable female roles justified by plot function rather than messaging.

Reviews note only light, incidental themes of teamwork and perseverance, plus one brief preachy aside on corporate slave labor in electronics manufacturing that does not drive the story or emotional core. No creator statements emphasize activism or inclusion mandates, and searches reveal zero notable controversy or audience pushback labeling it woke. The film prioritizes violent set pieces, humor, and Hartnett's lead performance over any ideological framing.
