The main story is about a woman confronting her trauma that came from her dead husbands beatings. It’s also gives a message that all men are violent, because all of the male deadites are much more agressive then the female ones. A woman of colour has extremely strong plot armour to help her overcome the trauma of her husband.
Although the movie was entertaining it was super woke. It pushed anti-male and anti-white male. The movie is anti-family and anti-marriage, quotes like “promise me we will never get married”. The protagonist blames the ex-husband for all the chaos and evil demons as she states towards the end of movie. The white young male they make him dumb and weak while all the women are strong and fight the demons. The white ex-husband they made him a domestic abuser.
The plot of Evil Dead Burn centers around a female protagonist trapped in an unhappy marriage and faced with a family that shuns her for not adopting her role as a wife and daughter in law. The central theme of the oppressive nature of the nuclear family bleeds through almost every scene in the movie, whether it’s the mother in law who sides with the deadites to preserve her family, or the abusive boyfriend-zombie who taunts her constantly using her status as his widow as his main barb. This message was repeated so often in every scene, form and fashion that by the end I was telling my girlfriend while viewing “ok we get it marriage is bad, family is bad”. Not rated higher since this is the only woke angle the movie takes, not rated lower since it’s so blatant.
Spot on.
