TL;DR Verdict

Methodology: Each score synthesizes audience discourse, critic and aggregator reception, and press coverage — weighed against the work itself, not any single source.

Best gameplay in all of the Tales series, with fantastic Sukuraba sountrack! The humor, the characters, and really everything is amazing about this game. Each character you gotta learn but it's incredibly rewarding! Now in terms of wokeness - first off, don't let the premise of the game fool you. As you play, you'll see the game swears off race revenge, which is in stark contrast to wokeism. Second, there is not only zero LGBTQ, but each guy in the party is shipped with the girl, canonically. Also, the men are useful, not dumb and in the longhouse. The girls are all feminine and pretty. Tho Dohalim is dark, he's not part of a specific dark race, and "dark out of nowhere" is well established in anime. Heck, he ships with his former slave. This game may well have been a Japanese passive-aggressive rebuke to wokeism.
